Calls for NPA General Manager to be sacked!
There was widespread calls from concerned citizens on Citizen Radio 103.7 FM last week for the General Manager of the National Power Authority (NPA), Dr. Zubairu Kalokoh to be sacked.
According to various callers, they have been going without electricity for close to ten months in a row and therefore called on President Ernest Bai Koroma to replace him because he is not performing his duties to the expectations of the people.
They further stated that if President refuses to replace him they will be left with no option but to demonstrate their anger against the government by not voting for them in the next Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
They intimated that during the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, there was an abundant electricity supply within Freetown and its environs because they wanted to win votes, but that now that they have voted for them, they have reneged on their promises to provide the basic necessities like light good living standards that they promised during the campaign.
They showered praises on Hon. Rosaline Jariatu Smith of Constituency 103 who they said is doing very well for her constituents while they condemned many other Ministers and Parliamentarians who they said are not doing much to alleviate the suffering of their people.
