General Sfano to embark on food security campaign

General Sfano to embark on food security campaign

A very senior official at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security, Mr. Mohamed Conteh, has disclosed to this medium that the King of Pop in Sierra Leone, General Sfano has gained the attention of the Head of Information, Education and Communications, (IEC) Mr. Daramy and other senior officials of the Ministry.

He disclosed that impressed with his creativity, the ministry has now given Sfano the order to produce a theme song, “Everybody must farm” to highlight the campaign for food self-sufficiency.

He further disclosed that Sfano and his group are expected to take this campaign al over the country through music and drama performances.

Mr. Conteh noted that there was the urgent need for the people of this country to fully accept the fact that we needed to work hard to ensure food security and food self-sufficiency through the commercialization of agriculture.

He stressed that he was very confident that General Sfano will succeeded in sensitizing the people to launch them into action.

Exuding confidence that he will succeed in this project, General Sfano told Sierra Express Media that his idol, the late American Pop star, Michael Jackson undertook a similar campaign when he produced a song on forest reservation thereby securing the lives of plants, human beings and livestock through the “Earth” song.

A musical analyst has described General Sfano as a great musician with global thoughts capable of attracting the attention of Sierra Leoneans through his performance in this project.

Meanwhile, General Sfano has started the recording of the song and is currently working with the French music producer and engineer, Charles Ostrov at Studio J Records in the west end of Freetown.
