LUC Morrison assures Calaba town residents
Police Officer commanding Calaba Town Police Station, J. Morison, has in a community awareness raising event last week said that community residents of Calaba town, Allen town and Wellington should stay peaceful, feel secure and go about their daily activities.
He assured the people that the Sierra Leone Police under the leadership of Inspector General Francis Alieu Munu is working hard to ensure that the people of Sierra Leone enjoy peace and security through laid down rules and regulations.
In his statement, the Chairman of the Policing Partnership Board, Mr. David Yambasu, said his membership will work closely with members of the Sierra Leone Police Force in the Western Urban to help secure lives and properties of civilians.
All security assignments should be fully entrusted to the legal Police personnel, he said, adding that residents have a role to play to identify criminals.
Superintendent Morison described the violence at Fourah Bay as unfortunate, noting that the people of that community should learn to expose people of negative characters to the Police for investigation and scrutiny.
He assured Superintendent Morrison that his board is set to work with the Sierra Leone Police to help them build their image as the true force for good.
