DTO Kabba Brags over Corrupt Practice
Reports reaching this press indicate that even though the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Richard Moigbeh has ordered an immediate probe into the activities of the District Traffic Officer (DTO), Inspector Kabba who was quoted as saying that nothing will come out of the probe since the ill-gotten wealth was being shared amongst some Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) adding that they will not sit by and allow him to be transferred out of traffic.
Amadu Sesay, a retired civil servant disclosed that corruption has been a common practice among police officials and that AIG Kabba and his close men should be watched carefully.
In another related development, few months ago, one Alpha Sesay was arrested by traffic personnel at the Central Police sSation on allegation that he tore the shirt of a police officer, Alpha Sesay who spent a night at the central police station on allegation that a 50,000 bribe was accepted by DTO Kabba who did not allow the case to be sent to the court of law for proper investigation.
The suspect was later released.
Some traffic personnel who preferred not to be named noted that DTO Kabba will task them to bring five cases each to the station on a daily basis.
