Africa Award USA nominates Sierra Leone Actor/Producer, Mohamed Bah for “Best Actor”

One of Sierra Leone’s finest actors, Mohamed Bah (in photo), deservedly enjoyed the spotlight when he was nominated earlier this year by Africa Award USA as “Best Actor of the Year” alongside one of Africa’s premier movie stars, Masjid Michael who eventually won the award.

Not only was Mohamed Bah’s Secret Past a competitive front-runner for the top title at last year’s GIMA award, but if stacked against other top notch African actors in the production of movies, we’d gamble that Sierra Leonean actor Mohamed Bah’s silky smooth acting prowess would take the prize.

Mohamed Bah attended the second annual African Awards USA that was organized in Atlanta, Georgia.  Hope of Africa, a non-profit organization, also headquartered in Atlanta, sponsored the event. The organization focuses on community development through education and empowerment.  Bah says he is very humble for this nomination and thanks all his fans that voted for him during the nomination process. “This nomination means a lot, not just to me but also to all sierra Leoneans”, he concluded. Representation in any form of way, in any platform is recognition that he owes it to his beloved country.

Presently Mohamed Bah has become one of Sierra Leone actors in the Diaspora that is making waves in the international market.  Bah launches his distribution company this year with his hit movie Secret Past across 7 states in the USA.

He has appeared in over 20 Nollywood movies since the beginning of his career. He has also acted in several movies with well-known Nollywood actors and actresses. He has truly taken Nollywood by storm, in the USA.
