The people of Constituency 002, which covers Upper Bambara and Luawa chiefdoms in the Kailahun district received food items worth Le17.5M as part of the Ramadan gesture from their parliamentarian Hon. The items included 100 bags of rice, 30 bags of sugar, 10 jerry cans of petrol and bundles of prayer mats were distributed among four sections in Luawa and six sections in Upper Bambara chiefdom. Presenting bundles of praying mats, rice, sugar and petrol for use by the generators during prayers at the Pendembu Central Mosque, the SLPP MP Hon. Mustapha Brima maintained that the gesture is in fulfilment of the pledged he earlier made during the electioneering period that he will remain in constant touch with his constituents and blessings gained would be shared among them.

He told his audience that lack of sharing and communication creates gaps and bad relationships especially with constituents.

The SLPP chairman for Constituency 002 Mr. Jusu Sundima aka Man Face noted that the gesture came as a surprise to all as such has not happen before.

Paramount Chief Cyril of Upper Bambara chiefdoms commended Hon. Mustapha Braima for honouring his promise and encouraged the Member of Parliament to continue his good work.

One of the section chiefs Bockarie Musa said the donation came as a surprise and commended the MP  for trekking all over the constituency 002 to distribute the donated items.

Chief Jumah Senessie of lower Kpombali in Luawa chiefdom applauded the gesture and maintained that they made no mistake in electing the Hon Member of Parliament to represent them.

Sectional Chairman Gao Section (Gbworbu) Mr. Mohamed Zakiru stated that they are now feeling associated with their MP. He commended Hon. Brima  for not only donating the items but also moving out to meet the people with the items. This, he regarded as a strange but a worthy venture.

Other key speakers at the various presentation centres were Mr. Vonjo Geiyiehum Luawa, Alex Domingo of Mende Brima, Sylvester Sillah and the Chiefdom Speaker Steven Babawo.
