Red Carpet Welcome for Balogun in Sierra Leone
Residents of Kono in Eastern Sierra Leone are reported to be putting modalities in place to give a red carpet welcome to the new Minister of Transport and Aviation, Leonard Balogun Koroma (in photo) who is to visit Kono today.
It is reported that all the APC Executives in Kono District are now hard at work to make Balogun Koroma’s visit a never-to-be- forgotten show and this press has gathered that the big reception will be chaired by no less a person than the Minister of Local Development and Rural Development, Madam Finda Diana Konomanyi.
Leonard Balogun Koroma is visiting Kono District due to an invitation extended to him by residents of the district and according to the programme, he will first be received in Bumpe after which he will have a meeting with the people on Saturday, July 6th, at the Fachima Hall or Konomanyi Park in Koidu Town.
The reception cocktail party is to take place on Sunday, July 7th. at his natal home, Kangama. It could be recalled that Mr. Koroma played the pivotal role as National Campaign Coordinator for the APC during the past 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections which the party won with a considerable margin.
