Today’s Goalkeeper Meeting is a Concern for all”- Shegu Macauley
As goalkeepers across the Western Area, past, present and trainers are to meet today Friday 24th May 2013 at the Football Academy Kingtom, a call made by FIFA’s Goalkeeper’s instructor, Prince Tamba Moses (in photo) is in place and a concern we must take very seriously.
The ex-Blackpool goalkeeper, Shegu Macauley revealed to this press that there is no discipline among his young colleagues or respect for their trainers or old glove men, pretending to know everything in goalkeeping. As a matter of fact, lack of proper training sessions is what is costing clubs and our national team serious problems due to too many goalkeeping errors which must be rectified to avoid future heartbreaks, he said.
Shegu praised instructor Prince Tamba Moses for bringing all categories of goalkeepers together so that we can brain storm and find solution to the decline in goalkeeping across the country.
Concluding, he said he will be part of the meeting this morning and will be ready to cooperate with his colleagues.
