Kent Sierra Leone thrash Police Women’s Cricket Club by 9 wickets

Kent Cricket Club won the toss and elected to field first; Police Women’s Cricket Club took the crease first and scored 115 runs all out in 18 Overs, Festine Max topped scores from the Police Team with 31 runs from 25 balls. Isatu Koroma the vice-captain of the Kent team took 5 wickets in 4 overs for 18 runs.
Kent Cricket Club replied with 117 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 18 Overs and the Captain of the Kent team, Ann Marie Kamara scored 65 runs not out from 42 balls.
Head Coach of the Kent Cricket Club Female Team, Joseph Pessima said “I’m so excited that we won our first match and this will serve as an inspiration to our players for our next match against Stadium Stars Female team and that one is a difficult match but we have to be confidence and hopefully we can win it”.
He said: “we are working on our game, this is a very young team we have and they have been together like a year now but if Ann Marie, who is the most experience player in the team, keeps scoring those runs for us, she will take us a long way”.
In another match, Stadium Stars defeated Midwest Cricket Club. Fixture for day two Sunday 19th May 2013, Mid-West Vs Police in the morning and Stadium Stars Vs. Kent Cricket Club in the afternoon.
