A Call to Business partner with Sierra Leone Motor Bike Riders Union
In a bid to capacitate the youth of this country, A Call to Business Organization in partnership with the Sierra Leone Motor Bike Riders Union has launched a new product called Bike Loan Product with an initial investment of Le 50.1M. The Le 50M covers the cost of 10 motor bikes including cost of license, number plates, insurance and riding gear. (ACtB MD handing over the keys of 10 motor bikes to board Chair MBRU)
According to the Managing Director of Microfinance David Kamara, the loan has to be paid backed in 7 monthly installments and the process is going to be a pilot project that will be rolled across the country.
He described the partnership with the Sierra Leone Commercial Motor Bike Riders Union as an opportunity for job creation for the members. He said the partnership will foster solidarity and showcases the relevance of the union.
He commended the bike rider’s executive for taking the bold and innovative step to secure the loan on behalf of its members and encouraged them all to comply with the terms and conditions attached to the loan. He also encouraged the eventual owners and riders to adhere to all safety rules and regulations biding them more especially to keep to the speed limit. He said the good venture is all part of the organizations corporate social responsibility to give back to the people.
