In Sierra Leone 35 bags of cement stolen at police station!

Reports reaching this press have stated that 35 bags of cement have recently been stolen at the Waterloo Police divisional headquarters.

According to reports, the said cement was stolen from a store in Waterloo and the cement was brought in as exhibit to the police station, from where it was once again stolen, allegedly by disgruntled police personnel.

Police sources intimate that five police personnel have been dragged to the Complain Discipline and Internal Investigation Department (CDIID) to each make a statement in regard to the missing cement.

In another related development, report has it that one suspect who was in handcuffs at the Waterloo Police Station died in the cell. This is not the first time a suspect has died at that station due to torture and neglect by some police personnel attached at Waterloo division.

It could be recalled last year that a suspect around Deep Eye Water before his death at Waterloo Police Station, claimed that he was tortured by the police at that division.   The mater was reported to CDIID at the time for investigation, but nothing has been forthcoming to-date.
