EcoMed Medical Center Adds to Advanced Medical Diagnostics

EcoMed, the state of the art Medical Diagnostic Centre which opened in November last year, continues to add to its range of advanced medical diagnostics, reinforcing its position as an affordable one-stop-shop for all major medical diagnostics, unparalleled in Sierra Leone and the immediate region.

Following the recent visit of the GE installation team; ECOMED has now commenced its CT scan and Digital X-Ray operation.

Commenting on the center’s 16 Slice CT Scanner Mr. Alaa El-Batawy; the GE trained Senior Radiographer working at ECOMED noted, “This is the most advanced scanner within Sierra Leone and the immediate region which, in addition to conventional functions, offers colonoscopy and other non-invasive diagnostic techniques”, adding also that, “unlike conventional analogue systems; our Digital X-Ray offers enhanced high definition images with an amazing zooming capability to highlight the tiniest image details.”

Located at 19 off Upper King Harman Road (50 Meters from the Ministry of Tourism), EcoMed will soon be offering (March 2013) – for the first time in Sierra Leone and the immediate region, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) plus the following services Mammography, Dental Panoramic Imagery, as well as a cutting edge 4D Ultrasound.

Open from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, and from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturdays, EcoMed combines the sophisticated power of technology with the expertise of highly skilled physicians and technologists.
