Sierra Leone Police in Danger

Police officers in Koribondo, Bo District, southern Sierra Leone, are reported to be having their precious lives jeopardized by the dilapidated building which they are using as a police post.

Reports say the building was vandalized during the decade-long rebel onslaught, causing it to be cracked all over, posing a serious threat to the lives of the officers. Our sources reveal that whenever it rains, the building leaks like a sieve, thereby exposing the officers to cold and pneumonia.

This press has been reliably informed that the ramshackle structure can collapse on the officers at anytime and that the endangered officers have been pleading in vain to be evacuated from the dangerous structure and be relocated to another building or be provided with a new building.
