The country, he said, will benefit from the facility through Affinity Telecom Worldwide which  will be launched in Freetown soon.

Making the disclosure during a recent exclusive interview with this reporter, Mr. Melhem noted that the coming free internet facility is aimed at promoting effective communication in the country to support President Koroma’s Agenda for Prosperity, adding that schools, hospitals, health centres and market places will all benefit equally from the free facility which will be attended by solar panels and computers.

The president further informed that, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, textbooks recommended by the syllabuses will be published on line to facilitate teaching and learning in schools and other educational institutions.

The Chairman of  Sierra Affinity Telecom, Dr. Paul Bangura, expressed delight for the $100M project which is expected to commence in June, this year, concluding that Lumley Community will be the first to benefit from the project before it is extended to other communities in Freetown.
