Corrupt Sierra Leone Perm Sec Exposed

The dubious activities of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Brima Rogers, have started coming to light.

Our investigation reveals that while serving as Permanent Secretary at the Lands Ministry, he illegally acquired a plot of land at the Freetown Central Lorry Park at Texaco where he has built a vocational institute called the International Vocational Institute.  Mr.Rogers is reported to be now misappropriating state funds to sponsor his private institute headed by his blood brother, Amara Rogers.

This press has gathered that recently, Mr. Rogers disbursed Le 59 M, meant for government or government-supported institutions, to his private institution.

Contacted, the superficial proprietor of the institute said she would only comment after consulting Mr. Rogers who is yet to give his own side of the story.
