NPA worker burnt alive

An employee of the National Power Authority (NPA) Momodu Anthony Bangura, of 11 Allen Street, Freetown, is reported to been burnt alive by electric fire which sparked from the transformer at the Falcom Bridge substation.

According to Mallay Dumbuya who is a brother of the deceased, the unfortunate incident took place on Friday, February 15 when the deceased was instructed by his superiors to switch off the transformer due to electrical problems around the area. In tears, Mallay narrated that while the deceased was switching off the transformer setting him ablaze and roasting him severely. He was taken to the Connaught Hospital and later to the Jui Hospital where he died.
