JOB is a notorious liar …Tamba Sam

Since the announcement of the controversial 2012 election results petitioned by the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP)  the party seems to have been torn apart by the heated controversy over the continuation of the defeated Julius Maada Bio as flag bearer.

While some party stalwarts are suggesting that Bio must relinquish his position as flag bearer since elections are now over, others are recommending that he should continue as he was never defeated genuinely in the 2012 elections. Others are of the view that the popularity he manifested by polling over 800,000 votes necessitates his retention as flag bearer especially when he has not conceded defeat as Solomon Berewa did in 2007.

This notorious quarrel has resulted in a war of words among top officials of the party whose National Leader, John Oponjo Benjamin, has been caught up in the middle of the mess.

During a recent programme over City Radio,103.3 FM in Kenema, the SLPP National Publicity Secretary, Tamba Sam, publicly disgraced John Benjamin by labeling him as a notorious liar who lacks the requisite integrity to continue leading the SLP  P. Tamba Sam recalled that recently, JOB lied that he was attacked by pro-Bio youths who molested him and deflated the tyres of his vehicle. Tamba Sam accused JOB of disseminating terrible lies against Maada Bio.

The damning statement of Tamba Sam apparently provoked many party supporters to anger and many called and severely reprimanded him for publicly molesting not only John Benjamin but also the SLPP as a whole.
