Sierra Leone Red Cross Society holds 4-day CBHP workshop

In a bid to enhance the full implementation of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS) programs of activities, the SLRCS last Tuesday, January 29th  started a 4-day Review Implementation Workshop for Branch Health Offices and Coaches on Community Base Health Program (CBHP) at the Grassroots Gender Empowerment Government (GGEM) Building 57 John Street in Freetown.

The workshop drew participants from all over the country representing their districts to discuss about the importance of this year’s implementation as a guiding principal towards the development of their programs. The workshop ended 1st February.

In a snap interview with the SLRCS Health Coordinator, Haja Kuctum Karim, she told this press that the workshop is to validate and review the implementation of the Mid-Term Review Recommendations that were put together in 2012 as it is one of the focuses of the workshop in the promotion of their activities of the past and the present.

The facilitator and Head of Planning and Research, Mr. Patrick in his presentation, described the workshop as timely and significant.

He spoke about the workshop outputs which he said were geared towards providing updates of comprehensive mapping of CBHP community identified which indicates key areas that are very much important to guide the activities of the process.

He noted that mapping could also guide the Administrators in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the program to determine which way forward, adding that Community Mapping will also quantify beneficiary figure items of Advocacy, Project Writing and as well as Reporting.
