Suspect on sale at Adonkia Police Station

Personnel attached to the Adonkia Police Division have been castigated for letting go a dangerous suspect, David N’Yandemoh who reportedly inflicted a severe wound amounting to twelve stitches on business man Ibrahim Bah at Lakka village over the past weekend.

Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that after an ensuing argument with the victim, the suspect N’Yandemoh grabbed a stone and hit Mr. Bah on his left ear, causing him a grievous wound.

Reports said the suspect, David N’yandemoh was later apprehended and detained at the Adonkia Police Station where sources say he boasted of his connections in the Sierra Leone Police and a top wig of the APC party in whose construction site he serves as a caretaker.

It was also reported that no sooner the complainant was issued with a medical slip and had barely left the police station than the suspect was quickly released and went on a hunting spree for Bah, threatening to hack him to death if he set his eyes on him.

When Sierra Express Media visited the police station to ascertain the veracity of the allegations, both the investigating officer and the lock-up officer in charge of the cell, Police Constable F.M. Konteh could not confirm the circumstances that led to the release of the suspect. They rather directed our reporter to one Inspector Pratt whom they say could better explain to this press.

As the matter is pending investigation complainant Ibrahim Bah remains worried due to the death threat which has made it difficult for him to go about his normal work or to do a follow up visit to the police to monitor police investigation on the matter.
