I S Bangura Elected Deputy PLDC Chairman

The Port Loko District Council (PLDC) on 28th December, 2012 elected Councilor Ibrahim Santigie Bangura of Ward 168, Constituency 49 Deputy Chairman.

He polled 30 votes defeating Councilor Lamin Kalokoh of Ward 196, Constituency 57.

Councilor I. S. Bangura pledged to work in the best interest of the council according to the Local Government Act and the people citing his experience as Deputy Chairman, acclaimed colleagues for electing him and called for their partnership to transform the district by implementing projects that would transform the lives of the people in line with the national Agenda For Prosperity.

He further admonished colleagues to work with residents in their wards and Ward Committees to assess the implementation of projects and to emulate the sterling example of the President to undertake meaningful development projects as well as the appointment of committed and development –oriented councilors into various committees to advance the aspirations of the people.
