Ansarul Secondary School to get more classrooms

In order to achieve President Ernest Bai Koroma’s ‘Agenda for Prosperity’ and the Gbamanja Commission of having Senior Secondary School four (SSS 4) all in the morning sessions, the Principal of the Ansarul Islamic Secondary School situated at Lumbebu section Kenema city has decided to add thirteen classroom buildings at the school compound in Kenema.  (Photo: Principal Alpha-Joh Bah at construction site)

Speaking to this medium, Principal Alpha-Joh Bah of the Ansarul Islamic Secondary School Kenema said that when he took over the school, he met the school at the Junior Secondary School level, with 32 pupils, 8 classrooms and few teachers.  Out of his good office he has been able to raise the school to Senior Secondary School level with 32 classrooms, 13 classrooms under construction, more than 1,500  pupils, 52 trained and qualified teachers for SSS and JSS, even though not all are on paid roll, a modern assembly hall, modern library, lab for both biology and physics for science students, and also a spacious learning environment.

Principal Bah reiterated that over the years the Ansarul Islamic Secondary School in Kenema has been doing very well in public and internal examinations, and  inter secondary school competitions; adding that he is extending the number of classrooms because he wants help bring the President’s agenda to fruition.  He therefore calls on donor partners and government to come to his aid.
