“Embrace Olive-Branch Ideology…” President Koroma Implores

In his maiden speech after being re-elected into office, President Ernest Bai Koroma called on all party supporters and sympathizers to embrace the olive-branch ideology by cuddling ‘hugging’ the spirit of oneness to all losing party supporters.

The President in his clinical words at State House after being sworn into office, congratulated the active voices of  many Sierra Leonean who spoke through the ballot box by voting him into office for the second term. He described his victory as a Sierra Leonean victory, which he says is dedicated to all.  He further thanked the people of this nation for their maturity and democratic tolerance in the just concluded election.

He maintained that a portion of praise is given to the security forces and stakeholders such as local and international observers,  civil society groups, and the media for having contributed to this height that has been scored by the nation. He said the mandate that the people have entrusted in him for the second term coming will attract his policy agenda of transforming the ‘agenda of prosperity’ to reality.

President Koroma said his ambit of preference this term will focus on providing employment for the youths across the nation. This he says will be reflected by his stringent economic policy plan by redirecting state resources in the areas of agriculture, and attracting more investment in the extractive mining industries, thereby revolutionizing the market of employment facilities to a new direction.

He went on to allay the fear of some that good governance and democracy transcend the politics of division, saying he will continue his good works in the areas of infrastructure, energy and agriculture at all levels and districts in this nation.
