Media in massive radio sensitization

Members of the forth estate from various media houses in Freetown and Kenema on Thursday 22 November 2012 engaged at one of the biggest radio stations in the city of Kenema (City Radio 103.3) in non violence sensitization after polling.  (Photo: Media guys on radio discussion (103.3 FM))

Ibrahim K Musa, host colleague who reports for various media houses, championed the one hour radio discussion programme.

The issues that were discussed included election practices, fraud reported cases, issues that were pending under NEC and police investigations.

The radio discussion was well monitored by the listening community, captured issues of the new and unregistered Voice of Kenema (VOK 00.00 FM),  concerns that were raised by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP)  regional secretary general Mr. Andrew Fatorma, and the district campaign chairman Alex Bonafa, which were security and intimidation of SLPP party supporters in Kenema town.

The discussion also featured election mal-practices pending investigation by NEC officials and also cautioning the people of Kenema to ignore rumor mongering and baseless and unfounded information spreading like wild fire in the township of Kenema.

The host colleague I. K Musa and Eric Fomba commended the AIG East Sorie B Kargbo and the LUC Chief Superintendent David Sahid Koroma for a job well done within the security apparatus and the inclusion of the MACP during elections.
