Port Loko Concludes Rallies

As the people of Port Loko district concluded their political party rallies past Sunday 9th November, Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation II, Mr. Mahmoud Tarawally  assured that with the emergence of the four for four voting strategy initiated by his party for the upcoming multi-tier elections due for Saturday November 17th, the bulk of the citizenry has demonstrated that the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and the APC are sure to clinch the polls at first ballot.  (Photo: President Koroma at a recent rally in Port Loko)

Addressing throngs of APC supporters at the Bai Bureh Memorial Hall in the Port Loko township over the week end the Minister pointed out that the overwhelming turn out of voters and party faithful during the respective rallies held by the APC across the county is considered to be an early warning signal that there is no possible sign of a run-off as his party is sure to win the elections in the first round of voting.

Mr. Tarawally commended the people of Port Loko and the entire Northern Province for coming out in their numbers to register and went through the exhibition process successfully.

He furthered that his party has strategized a method to create a nationwide database system that will ensure adequate information that will guide the party to victory in Saturday’s polls as party supporters await celebration time.

He entreated Sierra Leoneans to think of the developmental strides that have been achieved in the past five years and therefore cast their votes wisely for the continuity of President Koroma and his team.

Meanwhile the OSD Coordinator in Port Loko Superintendent Keitu Gibson also assured watertight security as the Sierra Leone Police has already beefed up its readiness for the elections.

Supt. Gibson commended the Assistant Inspector General North-West FUK Dabboh for his apt response and policing acumen to overcome the day to day security situations. He then thanked stakeholders for the range of capacity building training the force has undergone ahead of the elections which according to Gibson has gone a long way to build the capacity of the force.
