Hammond International Preparatory School and Academy gets Facelift

Hammond International Preparatory School and Academy has got a facelift within the shortest possible time since it was established in the East-end, Kissy Community in 2008.

Speaking to this press the founder and proprietor of the Hammond International Preparatory School said that without vision no nation can succeed.

Mrs. Frances E.B. Cummings noted with passion that her vision in upholding the status and standard of education in that part of the country is to ensure quality and efficient education is delivered to our kids who are the future leaders of tomorrow’s generation.

Mrs. Cummings pointed out that English language is compulsory to all students of her institution, pointing out that wise men came from the East and on that note it is an obligation that quality education is given to the kids at the East-End part of Freetown.

She commended the parents and guidance of the children for being co-operative in building the status and standard of our future generation.

In his contribution as one of the quality teachers of the school Mr. Abel Ansumana noted that he has been in the teaching profession since 2008 and has spent 2 years with Hammond International but has got the best experience and professional service in the field of teaching.

He commended the Proprietor of the school Mrs. Frances E.B. Cummings and the Acting Principal of the school Mr. Sahr Gboyo for lifting the status and standards of Hammond International Preparatory School and Academy.

Mr. Abel Ansumana noted that they want to see this school making a positive mark within the sub-region. Making reference to the BECE public exams, Mr. Abel said out of 6 candidates all passed with the least getting 20 in aggregate whilst the best got aggregate of 17, which was a positive mark for them.

He noted that last year they observed their school Prize Giving ceremony, a  Field Trip, and Nine Lesson and Carol Services.

He commended the Proprietor Mrs. E.B. Cummings for giving support to the institution and the extra service in supporting the teachers in pursuing further studies to empower themselves in the field of teaching.
