Saudi Arabian Hajj Minister Invites Sierra Leone

Alhaji Sheka Sahid Kamara (aka Shekitoo) made the remarks during a reception ceremony hosted in honour of this year’s Heads and Members of Hajj Missions and prize giving for the best visual report on journalistic work for Hajj at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Jeddah last Wednesday, 31st October, 2012.

Shekitoo who also doubles as Special Assistant to His Excellency the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma paid a special tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdallah Bin Abdul Aziz Al- Saud, the Hajj Minister, Dr. Bandar Bin M. Hajjar, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz and the entire Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the provision of large-scale services and facilities provided to pilgrims this year, particularly those from Sierra Leone.

The facilities, he reiterated, enabled his people to perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably, describing them as “remarkable and wonderful.”

Alhaji Sheka who has performed Hajj for the third time, lauded the efforts being made by the Saudi government to extend the best possible services to the pilgrims. “It is amazing to see that Saudi Arabia, under King Abdallah, is rendering outstanding services to pilgrims. We see remarkable improvements in services and facilities every year,” he observed.

Shekitoo was accompanied by other members of the Hajj Mission, including, Alhaji Salieu Mansaray, Sheik Tejan Sillah and the Embassy’s Information Attaché.

It can be recalled that Alhaji Sheka attended another reception ceremony hosted for Heads of Hajj Missions by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the Mina Royal Palace last week.
