SLPP Fail to Register Wu-teh-teh rally in Freetown, Sierra Leone

Surprisingly the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party has again failed to register their much talked about ‘wu-teh-teh’ crowd in past Saturday’s rally just as in the case of the Kenema procession.

The handful crowd of supporters that took to the streets in support of the SLPP were scattered profusely and one could hardly believe that the party will dare to have as many seats as it was in the recently dissolved parliament.

Lumley Roundabout -10
Congo Cross – 17
Ferry Junction – 30
Brookfields Bus halt – 7
Shell New Road – 23
St. John Roundabout – 21
Texaco – 10
PZ – None
Portee – 22
Eastern Police – 17
Wellington ATC – 22
Up Gun – 30
Calaba Town -17

The figures above indicate an unofficial random survey that was undertaken by this press as gleeful supporters filed pass to converge for an address by the leader and presidential candidate.

Citizens are frowning at the SLPP for what they unanimously refer to as widespread corrupt governance.

Saturday’s rally easily speaks for itself that the SLPP has grown very unpopular in Sierra Leone and political observers suggests that the All People Congress Party will win the November elections with an overwhelming vote.

The streets were clad with children that have not reached the voting age with empty tins in their hands clapping them together in support of the party and this was how people became aware that the SLPP is out on the streets; even so they were not able to turn out with an impressive number.
