Peninsula Pledges Second Term For APC

Former Western Rural District Council Chairman and York Village Headman, Sylvanus Babatunde Pratt has prevailed on the Peninsula community to vote for President Ernest Bai Koroma in the forthcoming elections.

He made the appeal on Friday 5th and Sunday 7th October, 2012 at a mammoth gathering at Mama Beach, Brigitte Village and Kent respectively.

Brigitte Village Headman, Abdul Salim Conteh, who chaired the ceremony in the three communities, expressed gratitude to Mr. Sylvanus Pratt for his relentless efforts to bring the peninsula family together under the ruling All Peoples Congress party and disclosed that failure is not part of his agenda, the reason the President would be elected for a second term.

Abdul Salim Conteh further stated that with the respect Mr. Pratt commands in the area, they would give him their unflinching support by unanimously voting for President Koroma and the APC, similar statements that were reechoed by other speakers from Tokeh, Banana Island, Bureh Town, Bonga Wharf, Sussex and Goderich.

According to Abdul Salim Conteh, all must put their differences aside in the interest of the party and acclaimed Mr. Sylvanus Pratt for spearheaded the meeting describing him as the engine behind all the successes made by the party in the Peninsula area.

In his keynote address, Mr.  Pratt expressed condolences to residents of Constituency 94 for the death of their parliamentary representative, Hon. comrade Victor Chukuma Johnson.

He also lauded various speakers for the kind sentiments expressed about him and highlighted that President Koroma is an architect of change and development whom the country is in dire need of and reiterated the need for his reelection.
