Governor of Mecca, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal , Mr. Yilla  added, performed the ceremony on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah. The washing of the Kaa’ba, the Head of Chancery reiterates, takes place twice a year – on the 15th of ‘Shabaan’ the month preceding the fasting and in mid-‘Muharram’, the month after ‘Dhul Hijjah’ when Muslims perform Hajj.
It could be recalled that, Ambassador Munu took part in the last cleaning of the Kaaba, in mid ‘Shabaan’ last year.
