Constituency 109 endorses Amadu Fofi Fofana
Hundreds of supporters and well wishers of constituency 109 over the weekend staged a rally that ended at the All People Congress (APC) party headquarters in support of Amadu Fofana aka Fofi.
The event which was described as the biggest ever staged in that constituency was full of joy as supporters were chanting the name of Fofi.
Constituency 109 comprises of Dwazark, part of Brookfileds, Sumalia Town, Sorrie Town and New England. According to the supporters, Fofi has demonstrated love for his people and always come to their aid at their time of need.
The campaign slogans for Fofi ‘respect, rebranding and rebuilding, the power of you can make the change’ were seen on all t-shirts.
One of the diehard supporters of Fofi Foday Conteh described Fofi as the only one that can bring the change they are yearning for in that constituency. He pointed out that they relied on him because they have seen what he can do.
Salamatu Samba said over the years Fofi has transformed their community. “At first we were struggling to fetch water but with the help of Fofi the taps are now at our door steps. In terms of good road network he has played a great role for us, the situation is far better now than it was before,” she said.
Fofi’s transformation is clearly spelt out in that constituency. When this press made a visit to that constituency, more than 80% of the people were talking about the good work of Fofi and damned their Member of Parliament whom they said shunned them and did not do anything for them. According to the residents their MP was full of false promises and if such person is given the symbol they will vote him out.
The hundreds of supports were chanting also “Na Fofi we want, no fofi, no vote” which was a clear manifestation of the hanger on the non function MP.
If Fofi is given the symbol, Constituency 109 will regain its lost glory again and development will be the order of the day in that community, an old man in the constituency observed.
Amadu Fofana while expressing appreciation to his people for their tremendous support in the process of respect, rebranding and rebuilding said the power for them to make the change is in their hands. “Once that is done, be rest assured that we can be there at the right time,” he said.
