Let’s Keep our Environment Healthy!

One wonders what the Freetown Waste Management is doing much as the Freetown City Council has devolved such function to them as a unit.
One hardly believes that such a historical city that used to be the mother of many other great cities in West Africa would be defaced in such a topsy-turvy manner, which clearly depicts lawlessness and lack of force to instill its limit.
The environment is made to suffer for the lack of efficient management by the Freetown Waste Management Company, tasked to keep the city clean. But the challenge many seem to be forgetting is the fact that the aftermath of an unhealthy environment is what recently masterminded the outbreak of cholera and diarrhea in the country.
Today the country is caught fighting a war against a health hazard as studies have proved of late that the same filthy condition is also responsible for the outspread of elephantiasis ‘bigfoot’.
Not losing sight of the ‘prevention is better than cure’ phrase, we at Sierra Express Media are interested in echoing the voice of sanitation and hereby say let us join hands in cleaning our various environments and save ourselves the plague of diseases that are bound to befall us.
