Jammins Entertainment Launch Inaugural Barclay Center Sounds Of Reggae

Sounds of Reggae producers say the momentous occaision featuring internationally acclaimed reggae artists Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest, Shaggy and Ali Campbell (UB 40) will go down in the anals of history as the inaugural reggae concert at the newly constructed 18, 000 seat Barclays Center modern multi-purpose arena new home of the NBA Brooklyn Nets.
“This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share the stage with such a talented group of reggae artists brought together to celebrate Jamaica’s 50 years of independence.” And “I’m excited to bring to the diverse neighborhood of Brooklyn, my second home, a piece of Jamaica’s rich heritage and culture,” said Guest of honor and Grammy Award winner Shaggy in his presentation to the various media representatives in attendance at Wednesday’s Meet and Greet. Shaggy considers Brooklyn home where he lived in the Flatbush section when his family migrated from Jamaica.
With 25 years of experience in concert promotion and production in the United States of America and the international platform, Jammins Entertainment has evolved into one of the leading event management and marketing companies based in New York.
Fielding questions from reporters, Jammins Entertainment Founder and Executive Producer George Crooks said “I am confident that the Sound of Reggae concert will be one of the best reggae concerts ever staged in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.”
He added that he is particularly excited about the lineup “the acts we have booked represents the best of reggae and they are all eager to deliver a spectacular concert for fans. We at Jammins Entertainment also feel privileged to have the opportunity to present the very first reggae concert at this brand new facility in Brooklyn.”
Crooks also said the concert will have added significance given that Jamaica is still celebrating its 50th anniversary of independence this year.
