Le100M Bail for Leone Dock Labourer
Abu Bangura, a labourer and electrician of the Leone Dock Company at Cline Town made his first appearance before Magistrate Komba Kamanda of the Freetown Magistrates Court No 2.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused stands trial for of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916, illegal possession of 25kg of stolen bag of wheat, armored telephone cables and copper valued at Le50 million at the Queen Elizabeth II Quay, all properties belonging to the Port Authority Management.
The defense lawyer applied for bail for his client, the accused, which was granted by the presiding Magistrate in the sum of Le100 million and two sureties who must be residents of Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to the 24th of September, 2012.
