2 Month Old Baby Found Dead
A two month old baby was on Wednesday 30th found dead at Kissy Road in front of the Sierra Leone Road Transport Authority.
The baby was picked up by cleaners of the Freetown Waste Management Company while embarking on the routine cleaners exercise in the early hours of Wednesday.
One of the cleaners who spoke to Sierra Express Media said the baby was found dead and had probably been thrown into the gutter during the heavy down pour of rain that occurred on that fateful morning.
He said when the baby was discovered they alerted the police who arrived at scene immediately. He added that statements were taken from them as the mother of the baby is still shrouded in darkness.
An elderly woman within the vicinity lamented to this press that she could have adopted the baby if it were alive, adding that the issue of dumping and abandoning babies should be a thing of the past now that the Free Health Care is in place.
In a separate encounter it was also reported the heavy down pour killed two people at Lumley and properties worth Millions of Leones were destroyed.
