Baitullah Mosque benefits from Ramadan Iftar
The cellular mobile network Africell on Monday August 13th donated food items to the Islamic Communities of Fourah Bay as their kind gesture in this Holy Month of Ramadan
The company’s Administrative Director, Abdul Aziz Gabisi said these gifts are a show of Africell’s consideration for their subscribers and the people of this country; he said the items included bags of rice, soft drinks, cartons of chicken, tomato paste, and other condiments, including cash.
The director maintained the distribution of food items to Muslims communities in the last Iftar week of the Holy Month of Ramadan is now a culture of the company. He stated, “We are aware that during the 29 or 30 days of the Holy Month of Ramadan emphasis is placed on the obligations of fasting, prayer; the recitation of the Holy Quran and also saying and doing things in praise of Allah”.
He said further that, “Jama, it pleases me on behalf of the managing director, management, and staff of Africell to present to Baitullah Mosque these items to be used for Iftar on Tuesday 14th August 2012,” the admin director said.
Speaking on behalf of his people, the Chief Imam of Baitullah Mosque, Sheik Sanusi Tejan commended Africell for this donation saying the Muslim community in Fourah Bay is elated with such gifts, he went on to bless the company for having considered the poor in this hour of holy prayer.
Also speaking, Alhaji Abubakarr Wahid said this donation in the period of If tar the observation of the Night of Power (Lai-lat-ul-qadr), will offer thousands of blessings to the company, he explained that they are ready to partner with the company in implementing whatever developmental activity they want to undertake.
