Airtel launch Super 10 & Smile with Airtel Volume 2
Airtel, one of the mobile giants in Sierra Leone, has again launched an interesting promotion and a permanent feature for their subscribers called Super Smile with Airtel Volume 2.
This event took place on the 23rd July at the Atlantic Hall Stadium Hostels of the National Stadium in Freetown. The launching of these two products was graced by the retailers for better understanding of the Mobile Voucher.
Speaking at the launch, Airtel’s Usage and Retention Manager, Rufina Adjivon Tucker said the launching of SUPER 10 will bring benefit to both the retailers and customers. She stated further that with any recharge using the Super 10, extra 10 on-net units will be added to the subscriber thereby giving subscribers free two minutes talk time and one SMS for Airtel to Airtel use. Airtel is the only company that can boost its subscribers, in this manner, he boasted. Super 10, is not a promotion but a permanent recharging feature that has been introduced in the mobile voucher platform, she emphasized, adding that Super 10 is the lowest tariff in Sierra Leone and by far the lowest denomination of recharging system.
A retailer Mohamed Conteh said during the occasion that no mobile company could be compared to Airtel, as he puts it, “Airtel is at their superlative stage in which a least income earner could benefit from this super 10 feature”.
Dizo Kamara, Airtel’s Sales Manager said Super 10 is not available on scratch cards; however, it is only available on mobile phone vouchers, wherein subscribers would make use of the facility.
The launch was done for a second time following the success story of it volume (I). Super 10 is an on-net voucher SIM which gives the subscriber double airtime plus one free SMS and it is available for only Le410.
To promote the Holy month of Ramadan, Airtel has meanwhile launched ‘SMILE WITH AIRTEL VOLUME 2’.
The Corporate Affairs Manager, June Rose Johnson said smile with Airtel promotion was successful last year and thought it fit to re-launch its volume 2 this year. This promotion will end on the 31st of August, she stated.
Commercial Director, Keith Tukei said this month is a very important month in the Islamic calendar and Airtel wants to satisfy their subscribers by launching Smile with Airtel promotion. Draws will be held in all the regions and there are exciting prices to be won, he stated.
Usage and Retention Officer Mohamed Kuyateh said Smile with Airtel is good news for Ramadan. To qualify for this draw, he said, the subscriber has to use 400 units weekly to qualify for the weekly draw. Some of the winning items in this draw include; food items, household items, bedroom frizer, phones, home theatre, electric fan, Samsung galaxy tab, Bamako etc. Listen to Islamic recitations by dialing 786 which will only cost 2units per minute.
