Nelson Mandela Principal on the Run
Principal of the Nelson Mandela High School in Waterloo, Mr. Mohamed Jalloh, is reported to have allegedly embezzled the sum of Le2.4 million from students of the Nelson Mandela High School, being fees for the Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE).
Reports have it that 24 pupils of the said school paid their BECE fees to Mr. Mohamed Jalloh but were not allowed to write the BECE exams held last month because their fees were not paid in the exams council fund center.
Sources disclosed that after the principal escaped the police arrested some of the pupils in question for equal misrepresentation. This action according to the locals spanned reactionary protest by the pupils and a few of them laid threats of burning down the Waterloo Police Divisional Headquarters.
Reports say the Local Unit Commander of the Waterloo Police Division, Supt. Edmond Issa Conteh was quick to have arrested the runaway Principal Jalloh, who was later released on bail on ill health condition.
The principal, reports say, took to the hills once again leaving his surety, Rev. Arnold Cole in hegemony who the police later arrested and charged to court for perverting the cause of Justice.
A 24 count charge indictment was slammed on him, including obtaining money under false pretense.
Meanwhile, the Police have put out a wanted notice demanding that anybody who could give information leading to Principal Jalloh’s arrest will be rewarded.
