CDP Denounces Partisan Politics
Newly established Citizens Democratic Party (CDP) has called on Sierra Leoneans to vote in the November 17 polls on nationalism and eschew partisan ideologies.
Chairman and Leader of the party, Hindowa John, made this statement while addressing a cross section loyalists in Freetown. The time is here, he said, for people to shed off the idea of voting based on partisan interest, tribe and regional ideologies.
Hindowa John maintained CDP was established to awaken the consciences of voters to change their mindsets especially on the direction of voting for men that have transformation in their watchwords.
In order to save the country from the scourge of bribery and maladministration which is responsible for the country’s backward standard, the voting citizens need to change their mindsets in beginning to make good choices of political representation, says Hidowa John.
Mr. John argued further that as a party they are ready to match the waning popularity of the premier parties that have failed the expectations of the masses to a greater extent, amidst promises that his party is in to provide the alternative for a successful state governance reform.
He said if the people of Sierra Leone should trust him and give his party the wanting support it deserves, the sky will be their limit in fostering the needed changes the country is long yearning for.
