President Macky Sall speaks out against civilian massacres in Syria

In a communiqué through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Living Abroad of The Republic of Senegal to all the Embassies and Consulates accredited to Senegal, President Macky Sall expressed serious concern at the deteriorating situation in Syria.
The communiqué states “His Excellency President Macky Sall strongly deplores these acts of inhumanity and the massive and repeated violations of human rights and the daily victims of the Syrian people” President Macky Sall, calls for the immediate cessation of hostilities and the urgent need to create the conditions for dialogue towards a peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis, in accordance with the PEACE PLAN of the UNITED NATIONS.
President Macky Sall also supports the emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Islamic Cooperation Organization to discuss the Syrian situation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also seized the opportunity to renew its commitment to the Embassies and Consulates accredited to Senegal and the assurance of its highest considerations.
