“Armed robberies and youths protest are being instigated by some politicians” Deputy Internal Affairs Minister Raymond Kabia

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. Raymond Kabia (in photo), last Saturday said that the incidents of increased armed robbery and the youths protest in Freetown were  instigated by certain politicians. Mr. Kabia was talking to Star Radio which interviewed him during the massive program at the All People’s Congress (APC ) Headquarters to welcome former Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) presidential flagbearer Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara to the ruling party.

Mr. Kabia told the radio station that the APC regrets the recent spate of armed robberies and the killing of two young people by the Police. He however regretted that the incidents are being stage-managed and instigated by certain politicians in the country. He said that the government is aware of the machinations of these politicians who are trying to bring chaos to Sierra Leone.

The radio presenter asked him why the government had not made this information available to the people. In response  Minister Kabia promised that the public would soon be appraised about the situation. He then appealed to every Sierra Leonean to remain law-abiding and to continue to cooperate with the government as it delivers socioeconomic and political developments in the country.
