Mercury International Gives SWASAL Le US$6,456 to Cover Sierra Leone-Equatorial Guinea 2014 World Cup Qualifying Match
The Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL) is pleased to inform the general public that MERCURY INTERNATIONAL (SL) LTD. on Tuesday June 5 2012 at their Headquarters in Freetown, presented the sum of US$ 6,456 plus Three Hundred Thousand Leones to the association to enable two of its members cover fully the Leone Stars-Nzalang Nacional 2014 World Cup qualifying match on Saturday 9th June 2012 in Malabo. The association is expected to carry out live radio commentary of the match from the Malabo Stadium in Equatorial Guinea by two SWASAL Members.
The two members have already departed for Malabo via Conakry and they are Abu Bakarr Kamara (The Punch newspaper) and Bai Bai Bangura (Freetown Radio FM 90.6)
The money is a full sponsorship package inclusive of air tickets, accommodation, Per Diem, internal transportation in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, daily updates and mobile recharge cards.
SWASAL wishes the general public to know that MERCURY INTERNATIONAL (SL) LTD. single handedly sponsored the association to cover all six Leone Stars matches in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as well as the team’s opening match in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Cape Verde in Freetown last weekend.
