Football Philanthropist Donates to MAFA Executive
Popular Businessman, Politician, Football Philanthropist, promoter and keen football enthusiast, Mr. Aruna M. S Conteh widely known as “Ambush commander” has donated a cheque of two million Leones to chair of MAFA Alhaji Munu.
He issued the cheque during the opening ceremony of the ongoing Hon. Dauda Tombo Bangura football competition at the MAFA playing field in west of the capital Freetown.
According to Ambush Commander, the money he donated was meant to provide refreshment for all the participating knowing fully well that the teams are sometimes constrained of refreshments during the break and final whistle of the match.
Chairman MAFA, Alhaji Munu thanked Ambush Commander for his contribution in promoting the competition and assured him that the said money will be utilized for the right purpose.
The footballers cheered up Ambush Commander for the gesture. He offered hand shakes and later admonished the youthful crown to abstain from violence as elections are drawing nearer.
