President Koroma emphasized the need to support AML for the remarkable job the company is doing by employing more youths in its operations. He revealed that as a government, they are determined to introduce a Local Content Policy which will expand the space for our people in the company.
The indomitable father of the nation urged the Police to work within the parameters of their job and collaborate with the community to maintain peace, protect lives and property. He however called on the people of Bumbuna to work with the Police to maintain peace and quietness in Bumbuna and its environs. President Koroma admonished all to avoid violence and give the police the required respect they need to carry on their work without let or hindrance.
The President also told the people of Bumbuna that when the campaign begins in earnest, he would take leave because what “my government has done since I rolled out the “Agenda for Change”, is clear and unquestionably visible for all to see, feel and appreciate”.

He lamented the fact that a few days ago, some politicians who lack any viable platform to campaign on are going around peddling the tribal card as if that is what matters at this very momentous era in this country’s development and transformation. He recalled that when he attended a programme organized by the National Loko Union, local newspapers carried stories all over the place claiming that he was now Loko. “But why didn’t they also publish that I’m Mende? Because when I visited Panguma a month ago, I told the people of Panguma that I am a Mende since I was with them at that moment. Why didn’t they report that as well? He rhetorically asked.
The father of the nation promised to address the concerns of the youths, the women and the people of Bumbuna, Kalasongaia Chiefdom.
Meanwhile, President Koroma also paid a surprised and unannounced visit to the Bumbuna Town market to get firsthand information of the prices of basic food stuff and other condiments. The market literally turned upside down when market women realized that it was President Koroma, the Father of the Nation and the Fountain of Honour, who had come to rub shoulders with them and know their constraints.
