IG raises concern over road accidents

The Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police Force (SLP) Francis Alieu Munu, in an exclusive interview with Sierra Express Media said that he is very much concerned over the increase in road accidents across the country and specifically the alarming rate at which accidents are occurring at Water Quay.

Munu said police reports have covered a higher number of victims over road accidents pointing it to reckless driving and other forces.

To add to this issue, the Local Unit Commander of Harbor Divisional Headquarter Ross Road Police Station, James B. Conteh, revealed to SEM that the SLP and the Sierra Leone Port Management have scheduled a meeting for today, Friday 11th May, 2012  at the Sierra Leone Port Authority conference hall.

The meeting is targeting all stakeholders involved to minimise the rate of accidents at both the wide route of Freetown and the Queen Elizabeth II Quay.
