Corpse found at Guard Street
Thursday 26th April 2012 – At 2:40 a.m., Alie Kamara, the youth chairman for Community Safety Volunteer (CSV) of zone 4, Guard Street, Freetown reported a case of murder. He said an unidentified male corpse was lying along Guard Street with a stab wound to his back.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the identify of the corpse .
According to the crime officer of Eastern police Division, Mr. Edison B. Tucker, he said any responsible person should take their citizenship identity card with seriousness, and that it happends time without number in their division people have no identification. He also gave an example of similar incidents that occurred last week to one truck pusher who died on the spot whilst pushing his truck and had no identity card with him.
