Premier League, Defending Champions Held

Defending champions, Ports Authority were held to a 0-0 draw at their final match in the first round of the Premier League competition on Sunday 22nd April at the National Stadium in Freetown.  (Photo: Ports Authority FC)

The draw was vital for Mourinho’s Kissy All Stars as they have moved from relegation zone replacing Wusum Stars of Makeni who have held their current position.

The first round of the Premier League competition will end on Sunday 29th April at the National Stadium.

On Saturday 28th April, Mighty Blackpool will engage FC FC who are bottom the ladder of the Premier League table with 6 points having played 12 matches.

On Sunday April 29 league leaders, FC Kallon will entertain the roaring East-End Lions and both matches will be played at the National Stadium in Freetown climaxing the end of round one.

FC Kallon are currently leading the table with 27 points with a game in hand, Old Edwardians lay second with 26 points having played 13 matches so far. Diamond Stars are now 3rd in the pecking order with 25 points having played 13 matches and newly promoted FC Johansen are 4th in the table with 20 points in 13 matches.
