King George Memorial Home to relocate
The King George Memorial Home for the aged at Lower Parsonage Street will relocate to Grafton in the east outskirts of Freetown today, April 20th.
King George’s Home is currently housing a considerable number of aged Sierra Leoneans under a charity trust fund.
April 20th marks the anniversary of the death of the first Matron in charge of the King George’s Home, Mrs. Genevieve Coker.
The King George Home is financed through monies generated from the donation, business organisations, international, and local Non Governmental organizations and donated to the trust fund.
Inmates, before their transfer to the new home have been craving an improvement of their status especially on the improvement of their healthcare facilities, transportation, and daily meal.
