Musa – “APC needs me more”
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Taraseed Tarawally, boasts that he is a prized asset in the All People’s Congress led administration and exists as a sacred cow.
“I’m hotly needed in the APC circle more than I need the APC,” he said.
Musa Tarawally is currently the subject of controversy in the country following the Shears Moses report on political violence which named him as one of the key perpetrators of political violence in the country.
The government is being put under pressure to implement the recommendations of the report which clearly demands that he should be sacked and subsequently banned from holding public office for the next five years.
His indictment is being compared to that of Hon Foday Rado Yokie who was whisked to the Pademba Road Maximum prison following his naming in the political violence saga in Bo where the APC regional office was burnt down.
The ruling APC wasted no time in prosecuting the matter, but when it comes to the pet sons of the APC, they drag their feet.
“We are made to understand that the President needs enough time to consider his options on how he should implement the recommendations of the Shears Moses report,” says SLPP’s Hon. Musa Tamba Sam.
