“Mi Life Dae Na U Hand” – says Bio

The Presidential nominee for the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio, says his security and protection now lie in the hands of President Koroma.

He made this statement a few days after the Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Tarawally told the international media that reasons for the purchase of a cache of arms by the government valuing at US$ 8.8million was for the APC to be able to contain him should anything go contrary to their plans in the November polls.

Citing his past record as once a military coupist and being the flag bearer of the strongest opposition party (SLPP) reasons are ripe as to why the ruling APC led government must prepare for eventualities which Musa Tarawally is quoted as insinuating.

Bio is intimidated by the arrival of the arms and has made prime concern over statements made by members of the ruling party, especially the one made by Musa Tarawally, the Minister of Internal Affairs which speaks sinister of what is up the sleeves against him (Bio).

It could be noted that Bio made an early alarm about plans by the ruling party of importing arms and ammunition in the country to unleash mayhem in the November polls.  His statement was then quickly swept underneath the carpet by a cross section of members of the public.

Bio has addressed a letter to President Koroma requesting him to clarify reasons why his government has decided to buy high definition arms and ammunition such as Rocket Propel Grenades (RPG) Grenade bombs, Grenade Machine Guns and fire arm carriers at a crucial period when the country is observing its third elections after the UN have pulled their mission out of the country.

Bio’s letter is yet to receive a reply as Musa Tarawally has issued snide remarks of intent to nail Maada’s coffin to the limit.
