The lone goal was scored by Bai Umaru Conteh with a power leader from a corner kick in the 78th minute. The Lower Bambara team is having big spenders in the sponsorship of Koidu Holdings but have so far failed to produce their reserved pressure both at home and away.
Gem Stars insiders have said all is not well within their camp as monopoly engulfs the administration of the club. It is suggested that that Hon. Francis Amara Konuwa should team up with others and should not hijack the position of Mr. Tunkara who is the legitimate Chairman of the club and this is only so to save their team’s respite.
In another match day result newly promoted FC Johansen were held to a goalless draw by defending champions, Ports Authority at the National Stadium main bowl in Freetown.
